ABOUT US

BongCloud Chess Club is an International Chess Players Community, founded primarily to Train & Promote Chess in India. Started by a group of enthusiastic chess players with a singular objective to create a truly world class platform for experienced, young and aspiring chess enthusiasts. 

With the motto "Chess to All, Chess for All," the Chess Club was established in December of 2021. Here, players from all over meet to play and analyze chess games. The biggest challenge, though, was coming up with a name that would appeal to the players, hold their interest, and also make sense to the younger generation.

As the club's founder and a major fan of GM Hikaru Nakamura and GM Magnus Carlsen, I was analyzing their games when I realized that both players were using the BongCloud opening in one of their online game. At that moment, I decided that the club's name would indeed be "BongCloud Chess Club."

The BongCloud Chess Club has conducted more than 50 Rapid/Blitz/Classical tournaments (Online & Offline) with participation of over 1500 international chess players from 2020-2022.  

First and foremost, we believe in sportsmanship. The game is the sport, and we're all in it together. While we are fierce competitors, we also want to support all of the players, community, and competitors as we work to make chess a great sport. Every day, we strive to improve ourselves and the game.

Our support team consists of  coaches and family. We do have world class coaches for Online & Offline Coaching.
